Swimming in a 46 Degree River in January

Daily swim workouts can get mundane, even for Triathletes. Professional triathlete and multiple Ironman 70.3 Champion, Eric Lagerstrom wondered if it was possible to swim in the Sandy River, just outside of Portland, Oregon in January. The temperature clocked in at 46 degrees, which is roughly 34 degrees below average pool temperature.

Eric wore a "Thermal Helix" wetsuit from Blueseventy, which is designed for extremely cold water.
